A New Season – a painting of old age. Why can’t new seasons be in old age? The challenge in old age is to ensure that winter doesn’t become a permanent mental season. Given science’s discoveries the brain is able to continue to develop, even in old age and in spite of maladies such as Alzheimers. Neuro-plasticity is a fascinating field of science and worthy of much consideration in old age. A case in point is my late brother who learned how to write very well with his left hand in old age, in spite of the fact that he was right-handed and Parkinsons had affected the right hand side of his body.
