Mirembe Munroe no 3 is the third in a series of 5 painted sculptures, a reflection of a transforming society, a fusion of cultures (African cultural beauty and American iconic beauty) with the hope of being able to live in a new society. A society in which we cannot lose our cultural heritage because it is so rich in so many different ways, and because our identities in many ways, to a greater or lesser extent, expressions thereof.
Is it possible for us to live in a society that allows us to retain our distinctly cultural individuality and yet live in a new reality of a transformed society necessitated by our common existence.
