Homage to the Impressionists – a scene reminiscent of a past era. Picnic in Perth was based on a photograph I took while visiting my late brother in Perth Australia. The bright umbrellas and relaxed atmosphere caught my attention; coming from the bottom of Africa it was a scene that stands in stark contrast to a rather broken world yet stands also as a clear representation of life “down-under”.
